A Whole New World

A typical day in my life before was very busy, I always enjoyed it, the more I could cram in the stronger I felt. Here’s what a normal Saturday was like:
  • Get up with kids about 7am
  • Make breakfast
  • Go to farmers market
  • Lunch
  • Go to Winco
  • Go to New Seasons
  • Take kids to park
  • Go to Target
  • Make dinner for kids
  • Back out to park
  • Back home, bath, get kids to bed
  • Make dinner for Pete and I
  • Watch a movie
Last night I slept from 2am until 2pm
  • Had breakfast which Pete made me at 2:30pm
  • Went to school to pick up Soda
  • Went to Joann’s to buy yarn
  • Came back, ate a bowl of pasta
  • Slept 5 hours
It’s a different world now. Things will change, but the frustration of not finding fulfillment in my daily activities is a bit jarring. I have always been a type A workaholic, thrived on it, found my energy, self-worth and inner strength. Who knew that the bigger test of getting 4 aneurisms clipped would be how to learn to reassess myself?

  1. Sometimes the whole universe has to get together to slow you down for a bit. It's okay; you have permission.
